Some Rules and Regulations- You Knew There Had to Be Some- We only have only SIX.
You must not put anything down the toilets that are not essential for your personal hygiene.
THAT MEANS NO TAMPONS, CONDOMS, anything that is not human waste or TP.
If you do, you will ruin your holiday. I mean ruin it. You will wake up to a bedroom full of
awful water, absolutely awful. There is nothing we can do to prevent this and it is the
number one problem with Island Villas. Please believe us or you will be in big trouble.
I will be blunt. You just do not understand water conservation and if I do not be adamant
you will run through 4000 gallons in a few days. Stop the singing in the shower, stop letting
the water run in the sink, stop all of that, or you will run out of the water and it will take a day to
get delivered. After 40+ years on this Island, I am hoarse talking about this and I will smile,
do the best I can- BUT life without water is not fun.
IF YOU HERE OR SEE ANY WATER RUNNING CALL US IMMEDIATELY. YOU CAN DO AN
EMERGENCY FIX, BUT WE NEED TO GET THERE AND STOP THE LEAK.
Turn the lights and air conditioners off when you are not using them. Our cost of a unit is 54
cents. For reference, Chicago is 07 cents. That is correct. Eight times the cost and it affects
our ability to keep rates reasonable so you can come back.
It does no good to set the AC’s below 22. They will just not reach lower and struggle along
driving up the electrical bill. You are not going to get the room to 65 degrees and by the
way, why would you come here and want that? If you try for 17C, you will get them to
freeze over, and then they just do not work for a day or so.
Take it out and I suggest you take it out daily so little two to four to six-legged things do not
come to visit. Just dump it into any dumpster you see on your way to town or the beaches.
Remove all your trash when you leave or we will do it and bill you $35.00 per bag. That is
what it costs us.
NO SMOKING INSIDE THE VILLA
The maids have incredible noses and go crazy when you smoke inside. It will cost you
$500.00 and they are not happy cleaning up that odor.
If you break something, or it breaks while you are here, just tell us. Your
insurance waiver protects you from all but malicious damage. We need to know it is broke
so we can fix it for the next guest.
I know all this sounds harsh, but this is where the rubber hits the road. This is what drives up
costs, makes guests angry, and all in all, can take your trip from heaven to OMG. Please help
us and we can make this work.
